I wrote this poem back in 2008 after a female I fancied basically dumped me. I still miss her…
her eyes, luminous and radiant,
bare into your soul, without shame
such an eloquent beauty is she
her mouth, so petite and remarkable
speak the words you yearn to hear
everything about her is wonderful,
alluring, pithy,
she is what sun is to the earth
what music is to the soul
what love is to the human heart
yet, she is unattainable
as she drifts farther from your grasp
until she is no longer in your sight
and then, you’re left to lay
in marvel of the loveliness you have experienced
in awe of the gypsy who has modified your entire vision on life
in mourning of a lost passion.
